Hello my friends!
Ah spring is finally in full swing! For you tennis players out there, I'm sure the long winter has made you anxious to make that switch to the outdoor season. But with high school boys season in action, your local high school courts might not be so easy to jump on, especially on afternoons and weekends. For the next few weeks, I'll be sharing some of my secret (and public!) courts in the lake country area that are rarely ever used...
My brother and I grew up playing on these courts. Located in the tranquil Dover Bay subdivision on the east side of Delafield, this is one of the most peaceful spots in the area to play (unless I am on the court next to you... my tennis friends know what I mean). The courts are part of a small park, which has its own pond, beach and volleyball net.
Dover Bay is a beautiful place to live; big green yards and friendly neighbors all around. I lived there during junior high and high school, and there are some days that I really miss it.
So feel free to come check out Dover Bay's courts sometime! Fair warning, though: if we happen to venture out at the same time, you'll have to play me for the court ;)
