My journey as a realtor and Coldwell Banker Elite agent began almost a year ago. It has been full of good moments, bad moments, wins and losses as well as fun, laughter, stress, joy, and most of all learning both professionally and personally.
I began work by understanding how to build a sphere of influence, take basic concepts from paper to the real world with a mentor, and figure out that investment is the key to any goal at the same time I was expecting our third baby. The first half of the year flew by quickly since I had a lot on my plate as an agent, wife, mom, volunteer, and more.
As Nico’s arrival approached my business started to ramp up. (Yes we had a sweet baby boy)
I was (and still am) blessed by friends and strangers allowing me to help them in their real estate search and sales. All those moments I referenced earlier have a direct link to my clients, co-agents, friends, and family. Their stories became part of my year and my journey.
During the second half of the year I can say the biggest thing I have learned about is INVESTMENT. As an agent we invest our time, resources, and knowledge into a search or sale of property. We become part of the team that encourages and advises our clients. Home buyers and sellers invest time, money, hopes, and dreams. These investments are things that will help them move from point A to point B. Within the real estate process you have loan officers, appraisers, inspectors, contractors, etc. all are investing something into a single transaction that will help clients achieve their goal. All team members should feel honored to work on a client’s team because the truth is they can choose anyone they want.
I ask you to simply think about where you are investing your resources today and who is on your team helping you achieve a specific goal. It doesn’t matter if you are investing in real estate, fitness, friendships, fundraising, or work-- it’s simple the more you invest the more you get out. So finish 2015 investing BIG and picking the right people to be on your team. Maybe I will be honored enough to work for you!
